A Survey of Oregon Wine Collections

As you all know, at Well Produced Wines we are HUGE fans of Oregon wine and winemakers, and we like to share our enthusiasm with others.

In August, we have three wonderful collections to choose from, with a fourth option to customize your order. We think of these curated sets as a survey of Oregon wines and the various styles that Oregon winemakers use to put their unique stamp on each bottle produced.

Each collection is 10% off, and 15% if you buy 12 bottles!

Oregon Chardonnay Collection

2013 Brittan Vineyards Chardonnay- The nose presents notes of lemon curd, toasted oak, and honeysuckle. Upon the first sip, this rich yet elegant wine fills your mouth with fresh, ripe fruit flavors of golden delicious apple, Anjou pear, white peach and Meyer lemon.

2013 de Lancelotti Family Vineyards Chardonnay- An elegant, floral and rich Chardonnay with a core of spiced apple, lemon zest and a rich mouth feel that is framed around a core of bright acidity and a finish with great length.

2013 Dusky Goose Chardonnay- This is DG’s inaugural vintage of Chardonnay. The aromatics are complex and yet polished, with lemon cheesecake, honeysuckle and brioche. This wine is not to be missed.

2013 Eisold Smith Wines Chardonnay- this is a chardonnay of a classic style: a nose of citrus flower graced with tones of clove & anise; bright layers of stone fruit and Bosc pear carried out with a generous, honeyed texture. Enjoy!

2013 Mad Violets Wine Co. Chardonnay- This unique twelve clone blend yields a richly textured wine that coalesces a harmony of subtle tropical fruit notes with layers of floral and spice. The balanced acidity marries with a creamy texture that lingers beautifully on the palate.

2013 Winderlea Vineyard Chardonnay- With a lovely golden straw color, the 2013 Chardonnay shows notes of citrus, pineapple and a hint of caramel. On the palate, the wine is fresh and crisp with citrus, red and green apple and stone fruit layers.

Oregon Pinot Noir Collection

2011 Dusky Goose Rambouillet Pinot Noir- The 2011 Rambouillet Vineyard is an elegant Pinot noir with aromatics of ripe black currants, pipe tobacco, spice box notes, and spun sugar.

2012 Brittan Vineyards Basalt Block Pinot Noir- The 2012 Baslt Block exhibits rich notes of blackberry, Italian plum, dried orange peel and cassis, with a nice spice in the back palate. The sweet fruit flavors are supported by a very structured mid-palate, demonstrating an intense focused and lengthy finish.

2012 Eisold Smith Wines Meredith Mitchell Pinot Noir- The aromatics of the Meredith Mitchell are distinct…ashy red plum, sassafras, agave nectar, guava. The texture is plentiful …blue fruit and sage, and supple but uninhibited tannins.

2012 Mad Violets Mantis Reserve Pinot Noir- This wine is classic Oregon Pinot noir from a terrific vintage! Ideal acidity, and a finely layered structure make this wine great now or ideal for lying down for 10-15 years. You decide! The Mantis expresses a purely fruitful core with silky, seamless tannins.

2012 Winderlea Vineyard & Winery Meredith Mitchell Pinot Noir- Don’t be surprised by the almost Syrah like color of this Pinot noir from the McMinnville AVA where depth of color is a signature element. This wine even smells purple and seduces you with blackberries, blueberries and huckleberries.

2013 de Lancelotti Family Vineyards Lachini Pinot Noir- The 2013 Lachini Vineyard is farmed Biodynamic. From this vineyard, they source two blocks: Old vine Pommard and 115. In the glass, this wine has beautiful violet hues with gorgeous aromas of black cherry and violets, plus notes of sweet spices that linger on the bright fine textured finish.

Oregon Whites Collection

2013 Eisold Smith Columbia Gorge “EDEL”- Produced from Columbia Gorge fruit, EDEL is 48% Gewürztraminer from Oak Ridge Vineyard, 12% Pinot Gris and 8% Riesling from Underwood Mountain Vineyard. The combination of fruit and winemaking style has created a crisp, bright, aromatic wine, with vibrant acidity that approaches effervescence, but is not sparkling or hissy.

2013 Ransom Wines Brooks Vineyard Riesling- This single vineyard, old vine Riesling from the Eola Hills opens with opulent aromas of mimosa blossom and acacia honey. The palate is lively and giving with flavors of ripe pear and lemon zest. A honeysuckle note at the midpalate is juxtaposed with an iridescent vein of minerality. Bright acidity and terroir-driven texture inform a long, elegant finish. Drink now or cellar.

2012 Lumos Wine Co. Temperance Hill Gewurztraminer- A beautiful, dry ripe Gewürztraminer. Bright aromas of apricots, lychee and roses with a crisp, fruity medium body and a long, perky finish with a mouthwatering wave of clementine, stone fruit and mineral flavors.

2013 Mad Violets Chehalem Pinot Gris- From 24 year old Buttonfield vines, this wine was fermented naturally in stainless steel. Round and rich on the palate, honeysuckle and tropical fruit on the nose, this dry Pinot Gris is a true delight!

2013 Lumos Wine Co. Muller Thurgau- 100% Muller Thurgau from Wren Vineyard. Floral with elderflower mixed in the bouquet. Sweet and lively with just enough acidity to keep this juicy wine balanced.

2013 Three Wives Pinot Gris- Aromatically, the glass is infused with hints of honeysuckle, pear, lemon rind, and caramel. Hints of cinnamon on the front palate are rounded out by ripe flavors of pear, tangerine, Meyer lemon and kefir lime, fully satiating the palate. Finishes with clean mineral notes.
